How much do other people influence your feelings...

I know I should make my own decisions, and I want to. But I have this overwhelming urge to "fit in." So, other people do influence me a lot.

Other people constantly influence my opinion...but it's only superficial. If they're talking to me I'll nod along with what they're saying even if I think it's baloney, because I'm afraid to disagree. Only later, when I'm alone in my apartment, do I tell them that. ^^

Definitely true for me, too. I cannot disagree with people. Scared of that.

I make my own decisions and judgments about others because I'm stubborn and don't like to be told what to do or think! :)

Other people's opinions really don't influence me much. I can make up my own mind.

Good question

I have very strong opinions & beliefs. Stalwart. It might be my downfall

I feel superior to my interviewers & employers who eventually want to usher me out.

My big brother claims that I think "I always know best" He's probably right. The final request from my Mum the last time we ever met was "be nice to people"

I was always the opposite of the 'being nice' attitude towards life. I thought that striking back against law, religion and anything was the way to survive and propel yourself. Never lie down and do as told.

If I adopted the 'be nice', shoe-licking attitude, it may have been prosperous for me. Changing attitude is a hard thing to do. Being brave and stepping out of the comfort zone is probably a tuff thing to do, and master the environment you're in and put up with it.

My same-age-and-era peers are all exactly perfect for me. I disagree with influence from the old and the young, and people with authority (oohh... employers) are the ones I must laugh at, and feel sorry for them, in their ineptitude

Hmmm... Braveheart rebel

i try to be objective but i am not above being swayed by others' opinions.

for example, everyone in my department has implied that you should not talk to the vice president, that she doesn't like to be bothered, is unpredictable, and can blow up at any time. this, with my preexisting, irrational fear of authority, makes me afraid of her even though i have never witnessed her blowing up on anyone.
