Ok so the time is drawing nearer to me being able to go for my licence again

my driving history:
got my licence at age 18 and lost it for 3 months for drink driving
I passed my test again for the second time and got it back I was driving for about 9 months until I lost again for the same offence ( I had a sports car aswel)
All this was before my panic attacks and before my diagnosis of s.a

So now that I have s.a somewhat more severe then when i was younger im **** scared to even go for my licence again and I fear that I will stuff up and freeze up when the instructor asks me something this is seriously ****ED

HELP PLEASE
S.A IS HORRIBLE

If you give in SA wins-

If you continually to think about what could happen SA wins again-

If you fail, more lessons are needed that's all.

If you look at it as a learning curve-you won't get sucked dwn by the SA wirlpool

If you fail the test, and have kept calm through it and organise more lessons.
You win.. and more importantly you are teaching yourself how to deal with lifes hick ups.

Getting upset will drag you down and feed SA.

I know I must not give in however I do plan on getting some lessons before my test I just feel so self conscious these days it's almost unbearable :-( not to mention my eating disorder is creeping up on me again and this time it's just continuous overeating and not caring anymore ;-(

Seems like I have been living in a fantasy land. I always though you only had to re-apply for the license, and did not have to re-do the test when a license has been suspended or disqualified.

Once you are on the test itself you will forget about your sp for the most part as you are concentrating that much on driving, saying that ive failed my test four times now so im probably not the best to give advice lol.

Wohaa u have damnn courage if u will only try to do it. I admire it. I believe u will do it. Is great that u try it. U can be real proud of your self. I dont have chance to do it drive licence. I have so bad concentration and im all the time confused. I was always saying i will never do it because i will be bad driver and i dont want risk i will hurt someone coz of my anxiety wich can do work for me in bad dangerous way. I know people with Sa can have driver licence but i think i shouldnt put to the danger no one around me.

I recently got my license, and I was pretty nervous. Very, actually lol. But once we started the car and I put things into perspective in my mind ("it's just driving, i've done this so much before. just pretend it's any other drive") it was over before I knew it.

Just be sure you know how to turn your lights on and off, honk, high beams, windshield wipers... That was the most nerve wracking part for me; the woman outside calling out those various commands.

I think the best thing you can do is to just try and put the whole scenario into perspective. Even if you have to do some strong persuading to convince yourself, it worked pretty well for me. You've had a license off and on for a pretty long time, and I'm sure you'll drive much better than most all of the people who come in the DMV for their drivers tests :p

It's not good for others on the road either! Hopefully you're far past that.

Anyway, I'm fairly terrified of driving so I don't think I can give you any further advice.
