i don't like this term because it seems to mean, were not commited. i went out with someone for a couple months and brought up loyalty a little but not a lot. he did say he wouldnt date anyone else when we first hung out. but was is dating exactly....? i don't like talking about it i thought you could just become exclusive without having to actually say it. it just seems like it's all casual these days.. we did pretty much everything if you know what i mean so i guess i should just give up on having a relationship. we went on over thirty dates so if it was meant to be he should have said by now..right?:D..

Yeah I agree with you... dating sounds a loooot less committed than boyfriend/girlfriend does. I feel that they're synonymous, but I sense that others don't. I've never had an honestly serious relationship, so take my advice with a grain of salt. I'm a bit clueless as to what you think he should be saying... so fill me in? thanks :)

ay yi yi... i guess all those words mean something different to everyone? to me "dating" is like.... when you're hanging out, flirting, going on dates, kissing (etc), and you've talked about not seeing anyone else, but haven't yet established that you're boyfriend and girlfriend.. why is there that limbo? i don't know.. i guess 'dating' is getting to know someone? i don't freakin' know... i would say it's all up to you and your standards, what kind of relationship you want to have with him, etc.. couldn't hurt to ask! if he says he's not seeing anyone else and you guys are 'intimate' together, what does the label hurt if you want it?

it's all a clusterfukk, who knows anymore?! haha

yeah, i want to ask but it's so hard because i'm afraid he will say he doesn't want to be loyal back plus maybe he won't let me label ::(:
