Do you wear glasses?

I wear contact lenses. I used to be so afraid of looking nerdy or something, that I wouldn't wear glasses to school or anything. It was embarrassing because my eyes are so bad. I couldn't even see anything sitting in the front row and I can't even do the computer or anything unless it's like 2 inches away from my face. I have glasses now, ones with thick frames and I only wear them if my eyes hurt. It's not as bad now as I used to think it was. Overall, I don't think it's worth it to be blind just to be afraid of something that probably isn't even true. But you can see a lot better with contacts, so that's why I like them better.

I wear glasses and it's no big deal. If I need them, then I'm going to wear them. It's not like I look like this or that while wearing them.
The only problem is how easily the lenses get smudged. I have long eyelashes and I have to clean them all the time. It's mostly annoying when I'm at work and can't do anything about it until I'm on my break and am able to clean them in the bathroom.

I love my glasses, but I only need them very occasionally.. I worked in an opticians for more than two years before my agoraphobia got bad, and one of the things I had to do was pick out glasses with people, and it was definitely one of my favourite things to do.
Everyone can find a pair of glasses that compliments their face and can make them look really good. I don't know where you live, but I'd recommend trying to go to a smaller opticians and they'll spend the time helping to find you something that looks good. I've spent an hour with a customer who then decides they need to bring their whole family back another day for another hour to get a second opinion, and we would find it totally normal!
Personally I feel glasses really attractive, maybe I like the sexy secretary look...on guys...or something!
Just don't get these and you'll be ok!

OH MY GOD!! I have those stupid things!!! Well, they were my brothers. haha. It's the exact same pair too. I remember taking the nerd test on the back and failing horribly. They definitely looked horrible and are difficult to see out of.

get tinted glasses of your favorite color. that makes glasses entertaining if you don't like looking nerdy. .. hmm

When you shop for new glasses, there are differently styles you could go for. Just like when you shop for clothes, you could go for something that people will notice, that will draw attention. While there are other glasses you can get, which have a more conservative look.
For someone who has SA, I'd say go with something simple, conservative look.
Whenever you change your look, you will think about it and will focus on people's reactions. But after a while you get used to it and don't think about it anymore. That was the case with me when I first got glasses. Same thing happened when I decided to shave my head.

I wear glasses and I get tons of compliments about them when I'm wearing them. I used to hate them and think that I didn't look good in them but now I think I actually look better in them.
I think girls like guys in glasses because it makes us look like we're nice sensitive guys or something..

20/20 vision here.... Seems like a huge majority of people here wear glasses. Maybe the ppl who don't wear glasses just don't feel the need to respond... Or I'm just baked and thinking too far into this... But most people in general don't wear glasses do they?

i don't like much the ideia of lenses, i seen some creepy histories, and i don't thing glasses would work fine cause i don't like having much trouble with "trivial" things, i like things more objectivelly ..
i'm some kind of poor steve jobs, i like to wear pratically , i think that takes away most of my style.
i went to guet glasses and my sister helped, she said i get better with glasses then without them , lol, i don't know if i'm happy or depressed
anyway i'm fine with it, my worry was getting something who was just horendous and i would not use, becaause i don't have sense of style and mirrors just freak me
about 40% of the general population wear or should wear glasses or lenses,
