Clinically diagnosed or SELF Diagnosed??

I am socially phobic, and that is a self diagnosis. I have always been this way I just did not know that there was a name for it.

Come to think of it, neither. Because the diagnostic criteria all seem so vague, I can't decide if I really have an illness. For that matter, I'm not sure I can even believe in such things.

Self... sort of. The doctors told me what the hell was going on when I started having panic attacs and was blacking out. They said it would probably go away though. (I wish). I was the one who figured out that I was agoraphobic.

I'm clinically diagnosed with anxiety and major depression, and my therapist thinks I likely have OCD (the obsessive symptoms) but I don't know that it's a formal diagnosis.

And yes, like others, I knew I had this stuff before being diagnosed, I was just scared to get help.

I think I have avoidant personality disorder, too, but that's self-diagnosed.

self. i'm a great bullshitter, though. if i ever went to a doctor i'd probably end up convincing him otherwise just out of habit. but i'm still confused as to what i have, so i just label myself an anomaly and move on
