Where do you get your meaning?

hmm....from the bible, mainly for me.

What will happen when I die? What is my purpose while I am alive? How can I find happiness?

These are the main questions I ask myself.....and out of all the evidence, I believe the bible answers these questions the best.

So with things like SA....yes it's a problem and yes it's painful....but I believe God is good, and I believe that God has a greater plan for me and the world, and somehow I believe that goodness can come out of pain. I can become stronger myself, I can learn to trust God more, and I can learn to have more compassion for others.

Where do YOU get YOUR meaning? This is something we as human beings all have to decide. What is your purpose in life? If you don't know your purpose, stop whatever you're doing. This is the most important decision of your life, because it determines everything that you do. Lock yourself in a room with no distractions, just a pad of paper and a pen. Start writing. Don't leave the room until you have defined a clear purpose for your life.

My purpose is this: to reduce as much human suffering as I possibly can, in any way that I can. How will I accomplish that? For now, my plan is writing, but I'm willing to stay flexible. I love people so much, this is the only purpose I could ever imagine. That's my purpose. You need to find your own.
