So how did you "cure" your insomnia? Any tips?

I don't consider it cured, since I'm positive it'll be back once I'm even slightly healthier mentally.
No tips other than what every sleep clinic doctor will tell you to do:
-exercise daily but not before bed
-eat healthy
-only do sleeping activities in your bed'room' and everything else away from your designated sleeping space
-sleep further than 6 feet away from any electronic devices
-no clocks facing you/no television before bed
-set a bedtime to lay down and actively try to sleep at/keep it the same every night
-no drugs or alcohol as sleep aids/ fragmented sleep, etc.
...etc. Not having PTSD would probably help, too.

When you've cried for 14 hours straight and want to die; your body usually wants to sleep.
That's how I sleep so much, now.
Also-- starving yourself and having chronic fatigue.
It's not good advice to tell anyone to 'try' though-- so, do try to keep to healthier options. That's what I would suggest.
Sleep study technicians can help from time to time; so I'd recommend going bi-annually if you can.

I sorta have this problem, but I know what the cause of it is.......I need a gf BAD ::eek:: . I had my very first one early this year, around new years eve. Also lost my virginity with her. Im 25 yrs old so it was something kinda special to me and I really liked this girl and honestly thought I was "in love", but after about 3 weeks she just kinda dumped me and even to this day I still dont know the real reason why. it was like she flipped a coin and just changed the way she felt about me  .

but during those couple weeks I swear I felt like the luckiest and happiest guy in the world. Now.....Im just kinda back to where I was before I ever was with her, always putting myself down saying I wont ever have anyone or im not good enough for anybody. its like a rollorcoaster for me, sometimes I get in a good mood and then one tiny little thing can make me feel like crap about myself. All I do is work and stay home on the weekend, week after week. I live with my parents still but I will be moving into my own place in a couple months. Maybe that will have a impact on how I am....I hope

I had this exact issue on saturday. No idea what caused it. Eating a snack that had natural fruit sugar and sleeping for 2 or 3 hours usualy helps me come out of it. not always, but its the only thing ive found that works.
