When you were a child, what or who did you like to pretend to be?
I would often pretend to be a general or something military related. I would more often create a fictitious character or just myself in another role.

Where was your secret hiding place?

I don't recall having one. If I was to be alone it would just be in my room.

Where did you most enjoy visiting?
I greatly enjoyed visiting my Grandmother and Aunt. Unfortunately upon my family's leaving of South Africa I lost almost all family ties.

What toys do you remember as your favourites?
I used to have many action figures, alot of which were Batman.

What foods did you like the best?
Braai, Lasagne, all fruits. I never liked sweets very much as a child, except for sherbet and Wix's chewing gum in SA. I've always been a big meat eater lol.

Any songs or tunes that remind you of your childhood?
Heaven Knows by the Corrs (Nov 1998 - Jan 1999)
Torn by Natalie Imbruglia (1997)
Too Much by Spice Girls (Christmas 1997)

What big events were happening in the world that you can recall?
South Africa's apartheid ended in 1992 and Nelson Mandela released in 1990. I recall the country going through upheaval. The rapid decline led to our leaving.

What was your favourite colour?
Was and still is Purple et Vermillion

Any stand-out good memories?
Christmas 1997 and 1998. I recall a week spent in Manchester with a friend of my Aunt after in build up to New Years Eve 1998. I recall feeling so free and uninhibited, even thinking to myself that this was a very special moment. It was simply perfect. Summer 1999 was the best moment in my life though. spending weekends with my Grandmother between 1995-1997 were also very special. My time in my Primary School. Lots of other little things.

Favourite children's books?

Dr.Seuss, I also liked technical things too. I was very interested in mechanic things at a very young age. There are several children's books that I cannot remember the title too. One of which being about a living train that went through a spooky forest and other locales.
