Right, I've been reading stuff on the net recently on social skills. One word that comes up alot is "ACT".
I meen wtf???? is it my lack of acting skills that makes me feel like an outcast in social situations, or is it my inability to be something I'm not that stops me from "fitting in"?
A couple of sites I came across on how to get girls was like, be like this, be like that?????
Act this way, act that way??
So basically most of us just constantly lie to each other and to ourselfs to get things and fit in???
I've got this mate and whaen he is with different people, he acts totally different depending on which person he's with.
He'll say things he usually wouldn't say just because he knows tha's the sort of thing the person he's with will say.
He doesn't even like football and if he's with someone who does like football, he'll act like the biggest footy fan you've ever met, and give little half bits of information that he's probably overheard or seen breifly on television.
He seems perfectly comefortable doing this and he's got loads of mates he feels perfectly comfortable socialising with.
Is this the way to be, or is this desperate actions to get people to like him??
Are people worth selling your soul over?
Maybe this mate of mine doesn't really know who he is or isn't comfortable with who he really is???
I don't know but it just seems like I take a huge leap forward and then a leep back, but I don't know if any progress has actually been made, because I can't remember if I was wors or the same befor(if that makes any sense?)
Cheers for reading
