What I want to know is who desides what flaws the person has. I am sorry but I defenlty don't agree with mike or you about this. Just becasue you deem it a flaw does not mean its a flaw. Every one is diffren;t in there own way
Exactly. Why is it that the bulliers themselves seldom get bullied?. Have they not got ANY flaws at all???. If bullying is a good thing for people, then are bullies/etc missing out on such inner growth??. Should EVERYONE be systematically bullied??? (lol). For sure they more than most i would think have their fair share of personality issues to work on.

I suspect the author may be attempting to turn his past bad experiences at the hands of bullies, into a more positive thing, so as to "take ownership" of it, or sth like that (you know, personal empowerment, postive thinking, etc). Sure, he may well have learnt a bit from it all, but i strongly doubt that there is no bad, detrimental effects at all still sitting inside him to this day.

I agree. When I was bullied, I wonder why the class did not criticize the bullies at all. Maybe the other people didn't want to get involved, they don't care, or they're scared that if they said anything, they will get bullied too. I've seen this happen so many times. A bully would act all mean and ugly but nobody said a thing; most people accept the bully for who he/she is. What's even more bizarre is that some people even encourage such behavior, hanging out with the bully and helping him to spread hatred against the victim. It's a cruel world out there.
