When i get depressed or start beating myself up about something, i'll watch a comedy. It might seem a bit shallow, but after half an hour of decent comedy, my moods are completely turned around and i feel ready to face the world again. I owe more to John Cleese and Rowan Atkinson than i do to any doctor. I get down, so i dose myself up with comedy.
What are your favourite comedies, and why? Doesn't matter if they are tv shows or films or radio programmes. Just as long as it makes you crack up!
My favourites are Fawlty Towers (with the brilliant John Cleese) Blackadder (with the equally brilliant Rowan Atkinson) and The League of Gentlemen - because it's humour is incredibly dark and sick. All tv series, by the way (but i think The League of Gentlemen started off as a radio programme)
