What types of anxiety do you have?

Generalized panic/anxiety disorder.
I get anxious and panic most of the time in pretty much any situation with or without a physical/mental trigger.

People make me most nervous-- people in general; thoughts of people, crowds, social situations, being near someone, world news, local news, strangers, family, etc...
Any situation that has to do with a person or people makes me nervous-- and the trigger is people.

I guess this thread has come to an end but I would like to reactivate it because it starts to address my fundamental problem as I now see it. Weirdy McGee, in her post kind of pinpointed where I am at. When I see people I get nervous. This nervousness results a secondary reaction.

I’m wondering how do you avoid a secondary reaction? OK, something has caused a trigger. How do you handle it so that the trigger does not spiral out of control and you can still appear normal. How do you handle your anxiety in real life situations when faced with triggers?

I was told by my psychologist, in rehab, last year, that my brain is going too slow to be able to communicate effectively. I interpreted that as a lie, as my articulation in thought, speech, and being expressive are all precise.

My anxiety is due to going round in loops in formal situations, like a game of chess, needing a strategy to formulate my next steps, to avoid mistakes, which I always make, showing my weaknesses. My head gets spinning, loss of memory, like a scripted program hanging up or crashing - slurred speech, confusion, as so many factors pile up on top of others, compounding, too deep into a simple 'question' requiring a 'yes/no', when I end with 100 ways to express express myself... Gibbering. Thats is how it is for me. Sadly, I see other people as disturbingly simple, when their entire life just like an animal... 'yes/no'

similar to most here...
the types of anxiety triggers for me are:
overwhelmed feelings of having a 'to do list' and it doesn't have to be anything huge, cleaning, whatever will make me feel anxious.
Test taking - or even starting an assignment.
I even get anxious if I get a text from a family member or my one friend, and have to reply.
I'm not financially independent and am living with my brother and watching my nephew 5 days a week so I can't even begin to feel like I can try to look for a job...

there are many more....but my mind is overwhelmed just thinking today!
