What Makes You Feel Better?

What is your comfort? What is the thing that shatters your anxiety or at least helps relieve it? We all have something that helps us get through each day. A hobby, a friend, a mentor, a place...? What is it for you?

For me its animals. My pets mean everything to me. I guess because they don't judge or yell or argue and they're always there for me when I'm troubled. Whenever I'm around animals I barely feel anxious at all even if I'm surrounded by people.

I wanted to make the same topic :D

well...dance makes me happier :)

What gets me through is that I know I've got a small handful of real friends who I can talk to and just be me. They know I'm not exactly a social butterfly, but they don't care.

Sometimes, it makes me feel a little less lonely, even if I don't get to see them as much as I'd like.

Conversely, sometimes I'm happy to know that being single, I can get some peace and quiet into my life, no matter what comes up at work or outside the house.

1. My pets always make me feel better and brighten my day. =)
They never judge me or look at me weird. They will always love me no matter what.

I can even ask a complete stranger if I can pet his/her dog and talk to them without feeling any anxiety.

2. My family and my boyfriend, I like talking to them and just being around them. Most of the time we get along very well.

3. Drawing, writing, sculpting or any other art/craft
Looking at the stars.
Long walks/hiking.
Cleaning, I don't know why but it makes me feel better.
Water - showers/baths, rivers, lakes.. et cetera
Chocolate, my anxiety goes away for a moment.

Spending time with friends or even going out for a meal with work colleagues. It's nice to socialise with others and not have to talk about work.

That's not to say that I'm great at it, especially with work colleagues, but it's nice to get out and talk to people for a while.

Other times, when I'm by myself, preparing a nice meal makes me feel a little better.

In summertime; Beer, barbeque food, videogames, peace and silence, long night sleep, music and the warmness.

In wintertime: Hot chocolate, snowboarding, videogames and the darkness.

I do like winter, though it can sometimes be a little depressing due to its coldness and harshness. It's currently -15 celsius. A few weeks ago it was -30... so yeah.
