What is an old soul?

I was at a BBQ earlier and one of the guests said that I have the eyes of an old soul. He seemed to have a difficult time keeping eye contact with me, but it may have had something to do with the fact that I may have appeared awkward when talking to him. I didn't have this problem with anyone else.
So...old soul...what does that mean?

Old in soul, not necessarily in body. Someone with an old soul has wisdom that usually comes from experience. There's more to it then that but that's all I got.

I think the term is thrown around a lot. I wouldn't pay too much attention to it.

To answer the question though, I think it would mean that you have had lots of incarnations on Earth. This isn't necessarily a good thing, because it could mean that you havn't learned what you need to, to move on. However time doesn't exist as we know it on the spiritual realms, so it hardly matters how many incarnations it takes to learn what we need to.
