The quote really just points out the two extremes of social personalities. Most people lie in the middle of this personality spectrum, not at either end. Therefore, the quote means nothing to me.

I agree with it. Furthermore, I think security in some way, harbors fear

Exactly- like the fact that you feel you need security at all about something just indicates that you think that there is something to be afraid of- which may not be true. Some of the things that people fear are actually not that scary at all.
