what do you do for a living?

I work in a bookstore (addicted to escapism, I am...) full time; and during football or cricket seasons I work at the Melbourne Cricket Ground as a retail supervisor or 2nd in charge sometimes...

I used to be a pet sitter. Now I'm living with my parents as a 'full time student'. But once I'm done with college I'm going to be a teacher.

I worked for an engineering business repairing motorcycle and jet-ski engines.

Hopefully will be going back there in a couple of months - if not - who knows what I can do.

dont have a job,
im 17, most ppl by that age already have at least part time.

This isn't necessarily true. I didn't get my first part-time job until the summer between my sophomore and junior year of college. I was like 21 or something.

unemployed as well for over a yr now. if i wasn't broke, i'd be loving it tho. i hated the stress and all from working. but i do miss my babies very much (i was an infant teacher for a yr and a half).

I go to school for a living. Only I don't get paid. I've never actually had a job. Scares the shit out of me.

I've been doing odd part-time/temp/work-from-home jobs for the past 4 years and living with parents and friends, paying cheap rent....but this year I've decided I need to try and get a proper full time job....and I'm bricking it....especially with this whole recession malarkey!....I'm thinking I'd like to be a postman....lots of time on my own....or a delivery driver could be nice.....anything that I can do alone. ....these past 4 years I've been a knitting machinist, a CAD engineer, a trolley boy, a cleaner, a sales assistant and a bum! My favourite was the latter!

i m finishing my book for students. I should be happy because it is more likely that it would give me solid income in 10 years time (or more) . Practically, i wont have to worry about regular work (that i used to quit because of SA : I )

The thought of going to a university scares the shit out of me.

It really isn't as bad as you think. I was really really really nervous the first day. You think people will be looking at you and scrutinizing every move you make. They don't. I just sit in the back and no one bothers me.

artanis i envy your jobs.... reading all day and get paid for it - haha probably theres more to it but still

I'm gonna have my first job ever next month.. dunno exactly what they'd make me do yet, probably programming and hardware testing.

I worked at my fathers ultrasound repairing business for a few years. But I wanted to get out amongst people so I forced myself to go work at a local Target. I continued to work there for a little over a year and a half. I quit because I decided to finally start college but of course now I need some type of part time job to keep some money comein in so i'm thinkin about applying for the local Home Depot for the time being. It has alright pay and physical work so yeah.

I work as a veterinary nurse. I find it easier working with animals than with people. Plus, I still get the satisfaction I helped another being, especially does who can't help themselves.
