Ugh...Valentines day is coming up.

It's only commercial because people are lazy. You could easily make handmade cards or bake heart shaped cookies or grow your own roses to give to people to show your love.
There is no law that says, "THOU MUST BUY HALLMARK CARD FOR THINE BELOVED".

I guess my point is...you can pretty much make anything negative or positive. Including Valentines Day.

Over two weeks away, but they are starting to sell those candy grams and cards at my school. I feel like such a loser on valentines day, like I'm the only one not giving or getting a card or whatever. Because I dont have a girlfriend or any friends and the worst thing I can imagine is getting a courtesy card like I did last year. Does anyone else feel like this? Whether its at school or not, its all over TV and movies and decorations. Just depressing.
^ Yeah I hate Valentine's Day too. Not so much the fact that I have no one to spend it with, it's just the fact that it's so commercial. It just gives people another reason to spend money. I've never gotten anything for Valentine's Day at school either. I'll admit, it does make me a little disappointed, and I do feel like a loser compared to those who do get things. But, mostly, I just ignore the holiday. I mean, why should we have a holiday to buy things to express our love to another when we could just make something any other day of the year and express the love just the same?
