Treated like you are stupid because of SA

Sometimes, but that's from people who act the same way to everyone else as well. Many people (regardless of how they treat everyone else) often think I'm arrogant, negative or cocky, though. Give a guy a wealthy background, a big nose and crappy social skills and that's probably what he is, in this world of stereotypes...

The older I get the more looked down upon SA gets. When I was in my teens people thought I appeared more mature because of my reserved lack of ability to let loose nature, but now that I’m in my 20’s there’s amount of social seasoning that is expected.

I'd rather be treated like a child than what has really been happening. I live in Chicago and they are still rather...conservative about mental illness. If a man has a mental illness, he is frowned upon and never made eye contact, ignoring him altogether. However, if a woman has a mental illness, it's like, "Oh, you poor thing!" and they do everything to comfort and console her. Also, men like unattainable women to try to get in bed with.

I admitted that I may have OCD because of some of my history. But, because I read a comic called Questionable Content, everyone thinks I'm taking after Hannelore Ellicott-Chatham. Unfortunately, I've done extensive research and I found out that I don't have to be crazy OCD where I'm freaking out and naive about every topic that's...ehh, mature. Three things wrong with that: 1. I wasn't born is space, 2. I didn't have an abusive mother, just very overprotective, and 3. I don't live minimalistic, but I really wish I did. Worrying about all my stuff is nearly killing me.
