sorry if I am not posting this in the right area...
here goes:
1. SIL got a minor cold - she's over it now.
2. Niece (the newborn) got minor cold - she's over it.
3. Nephew got sick with cold - lingered with terrible cough til yesterday when he REQUESTED to go to doctor. He has a bad cold and an ear infection - he's got the proper meds now and is on the road to recovery.
4. I got sick simultaneously with nephew - minor cold - until it turned into sinus infection & laryngitis - and now, day 3, I still have no voice. Though oddly enough, I feel fine as long as I don't try to talk - from the neck down, I am fine.
5. Brother got violently ill this morning. He was so sick that it took him 4 hours to get around to get to urgent care. He has the stomach flu. They gave him some meds and he's actually up and around now.
I don't understand what is wrong - I mean it seems that someone is always sick in some way, shape or form in this house. I keep it as clean as I can - I actually use (rubbing) alcohol and water to clean countertops, etc. and hydrogen peroxide to clean and sanitize other areas (these ideas came because my mom used to work in hospital laboratory and that is what they use in the lab to clean and sanitize). We wash our hands - We eat relatively healthier than a lot of others, especially in the US. We have a vitamix and for crying out loud, we actually DO make those green drinks from spinach, fresh fruits, fresh veggies, We don't use salt much. We drink water, we don't consume tons of sodas. We DO eat the occasional cheeseburger, soda, fries, dessert, but it's not like it is every single day.
So for crying out loud, why do we always seem to attract the germs and bugs? I actually have been more sick living with them then when I was on my own.
Can anyone relate or explain this to me? I don't get it.
