The thing that we fear most is total freedom. We love our walls, fences, property lines, laws, guide rails, queues, religion, ideologies, company policies, law makers, and masters.
Nothing is more terrifying than total freedom.
We are always looking toward others to tell us what is ok and what is not ok.

I make it a point to not listen to any current pop music but something I've observed when I'm out at stores or whatnot and there is background pop music playing is that it usually consists of slow, gooey love songs sung by whiny sounding men or sassy, upbeat songs sung by "empowered" womens.

I notice this with country as well. The songs sung by men are usually sappy whereas the songs sung by women are usually about breaking up a relationship.

The moss,
Cover lovingly in shell shaped light,
Indigo starbursts and warmth juts out,
The phone rang and we answered it together.

Crust and crusty,
I stared at the toast.
She was in the other room dressing,
It's like Christ at the well,
Like the planets just hanging there,
I touched my own thigh and felt sorrow there,
A heavy crust on the morning.
