yeah but the nice guy is so busy with the dates and being friends, which dont get me wrong is a very important part of the relationship, that if he brings up anything physical, then the girl is no longer interested. its either the guy who gets all these one night stands or the nicer guy that has to struggle desperately to have sex with his girlfriend, if he is lucky enough to find one.

Depends on whether you're talking about the nice guy stereotype or the guy who's genuinely nice. The latter will have problems getting a date in high school if he's not "cool", but genuine niceness isn't a deal breaker among more mature girls. The former isn't usually what most guys mean when they say "nice guy".
Also, many socially impaired guys have problems realizing that it's the guy who has to chase after the girl and not the other way around. Once I realized this, everything became a lot easier.

I think a lot of people confuse "nice" with "unassertive", and not just in the realm of personal relationships.
