You know what makes me fed up most of the time in regards to relationships? is that nowadays the media keeps feeding people overly materialistic ideas of course in an attempt to make appeal to consumerism but it can really send the wrong message I believe.

It keeps going and going non stop and people develop grandiose ideas on what to expect from a relationship, etc.

Like today Iw as listening to Beyonce's song talking about how she wants a man who has a huge ego, who acts arrogant (but she likes to call it confidence).. but of course true confidence doesn't look arrogant. But every woman comes to expect this from a man now because, well all female idols on television tell her what to think and how to act and what to like.

Actually **** it, give yourself a pep-talk mate. No bullshit negativity, just pure common sense. THEN come back on here and ask fro new advice, but if you do it properly, you will never have to ask again. Dont just blindly follow my or anyone elses instructions, with our condition we wont be able to function confidently unless we are certain (100% confident) we have the right plan and method. Trust in yourself to devise that method (the impenetrable no1 method )

I know, it's disgusting. I guarantee you if Beyonce really had a man with a big ego, she would find him insufferable.

She is just saying that because it:
1) rhymes with the beat of her song and
2) it's "cool' to think you're above everyone.

This kind of mentality might work when you're in your 20's and 30's, but as soon you grow older and less capable, people don't put up with your shit anymore (because it becomes increasingly obvious that you're not really above anyone). This in turn causes the person to be depressed and disillusioned, and then eventually causes them to seek tons of rehab. It's no wonder why most hollywood stars go through rehab in their latter years.

I don't think I have ever watched the news, or ever read the news, or any of that. I really have no clue what goes on in the outside world, and I don't really care. I don't care about the media and their so called "lies". My mind is stuck in the 60's, and if that's where I want to be, it's fine with me. It's only a song afterall, and by the looks of it, it really doesn't mean anything. The best option, I mean if it really bothers you that much, is to tune it all out. And don't say that it's hard because it's everywhere, you're the one choosing to listen.

Those so-called 'popular' songs are usually overrated pieces of trash, that only become 'popular' because of all the hype around the singers. If you want good music, listen to the New Age genre, it has very inspiring, peaceful music, full of hope and promise of a brighter, better future
