Staring

I hate my job, it forces me around people--when it really just makes me ultra-paranoid. Today I was walking with another co-worker just talking, and I was walking past a girl w/ her (I assume) boyfriend and she kind of gave me a weird look. Then about a minute later she started touching him and looked directly at me, like she was trying to get a reaction. It was weird, I thought she was mocking me. I know it is weird, but nonverbal shit always makes my head spin. And I don't like it stare/look at me I feel as if they are scrutinizing me. Anyone else feel the same?

yes! this is totally invasive and RUDE. what a bitch!

just keep in mind that people deal with insecurities in different ways, so maybe this was her way.

What do you mean, what do you think her insecurity would be?

this one time on the train i made eye contact with this girl sitting across the aisle by accident, she was in my line of site so its entirely her fault ..

anyhoo she looks directly at me so i look away, give it a couple of seconds and i look back again to see if she's still staring at me and she wasn't but before i had a chance to look away she noticed me looking so i then looked away again, it was like a game of ping pong that got out of hand and fast ..

so she blurts out "WhAt"? and i just shrug and say "nothing, what"?, she says "you keep looking at me", so i say "you kept looking at me"..

maybe she just wanted a "innocent" Ménage à trois
*worst joke ever*

maybe its just you, maybe not, like dottie said people deal with insecurities in different ways, i don't like it either to me when people act like this they're telling me they give up their self respect,

but i think the problem is how we deal with it, like i said i don't like it either, i don't ever like people looking to me in anyway... it's something we should learn to deal with, because the disconfort it's causing is affecting us.

i hate ppl staring at me, its probably the main reason I stay inside so much. Its a recurring problem cus I also stare at ppl out of nervousness, I just dread those situations where eye contact is made and it gets uncomfortable.

If people weren't so damn confusing it'd make things easier, but probably a lot less interesting, I guess :?

Stoppp looking at her!!

That'll shut her up!!

You noticed her touching her boyfriend, that makes it a little worse. If you next see her for a split second just look at something else. Your hand or something. lol.

Haha! Hilarious. By the way, I hate when people stare also.

When she touched her boyfriend was that a nonverbal "go away" even though I barely looked at her?

And I sensed some hostility in your post, why?
