can be smiling at me, but i feel hated and despised.

I feel like that sometimes too.
Sometimes I think they try to make me smile too or
they are just hiding what they really think about me.

Don't know why, but your edited comment reminds me of the Bugs Bunny / Road Runner cartoons of years past... Especially the "SPLAT"... While E Coyote with his Acme gadgets that always don't work quite right and he winds up "SPLAT" on the road.... Ha ha!
