They'd most likely use my birthday as judgment day and overview all the failures of my life. "Jake, why have you _____, you're 21 now!" etc.

A lot can happen in one day, I'm in a fragile state of mind right now and the people most capable of destroying me are them.

jake...it's YOUR day...dont worry about what they might say, until they actually say it. and believe this or not, the only one capable of destroying you, is you. and you're correct, you owe them nothing...you'll be 21 tomorrow and if you want to be alone, then you are free and have all rights to make that decision yourself...if that is what you want, then tomorrow when you get up, leave a note (so they dont freak out and wonder where you are) and go somewhere to be alone for the day. there is nothing at all wrong with that.

Was my 21st on the 9th i hadn't made any plans and was pretty much dreading it, i wanted to do something but was doing a pretty good job avoiding it. Anyways it just happened to fall on the day my friend was visiting more friends at their uni so i went with and well it was pretty perfect....drinking games, a whole load of halo and a drum and bass gig with most of my friends i grew up with through school so they're pretty much the only people i'm comfortable with.

If you're like me and half wanted to do something but at the same time wanted to completely avoid it...i would seriously vote for doing something, anything, just something so you can say that your damn fears didn't get the better of you on a day that's supposed to be a celebration, you mos defs won't regret it.
