I'll just turn off the monitor whenever someone walks in the room, the room in which the door is always closed. It doesn't have to be a particular website, just everything. I'll even turn off the monitor to a blank screen, it's just automatic.

Absolutely not. I often use computers in libraries where you are sitting right next to someone (or more than one) without any sort of partition. No-one has shown any sign of noticing, let alone shown any interest (positive or negative).

Not in my dorm room, but when at home I will close it or move the screen out of view of everyone else.

Yep. Whenever someone comes into my room or I hear them coming, I automatically either switch to a new tab or minimize the window completely and pretend to be doing something else.
