This might sound familar, but it's frusterating if someone asks you where do you want to eat tonight and replies like "okay.. if that's what you really want *sigh*" and then i ask "well what do you want" and that person gets mad. I just don't care really where to go. I'm afraid of picking a place that doesn't sound good or other problems can occur with a certain restaurant like too expensive, too far away, not in the mood for that kind of food. Why not just say "okay sounds good" or "okay" if it were worded like that it would be eaiser to just move on you know? >.> I guess it means i don't think my opinion matters and maybe you feel the same way sometimes yet it frusterating....blah.

I hate that. Our family goes out to eat once or twice a week. For reasons unknown, I'm always the first one they ask where to go. I tell my mom I don't care because I can find something I'll eat anywhere we go. She's definitely more of a picky eater than me, so if I do make a suggestion, there's always complaints. If I ask her where she wants to go though, she gets mad and says that she doesn't care, even when everyone knows that's a lie.

Yeah, no one wants the responsibility of making the decision but everyone is content to complain about the choices someone else makes. People can be impossible. :)

I always return it on the person who complains. If they complain about the place, you ask them why even ask me, screw you we eat where I said

^ Yes! My boyfriend does this to me all the time. It is so frustrating. Makes it hard for me to decide what to do 'cause I fear he won't like it.

Another thing that annoys me is when someone asks me what I want to do, but they really want to do something else already. They are just giving me the illusion of making a decision. My sister does this to me. She is the boss; I need to go with what she wants to do. It just bothers me that she asks, like does it matter what I want to do? Nope. Sometimes I get really excited too...but at the last minute she will change plans. Ahhh.

Sometimes it is easier to just go along with whatever someone else wants to do, but when asked, I can make suggestions.

I used to be afraid of making decisions, because I would always worry about others being disappointed with the decisions I made.

But over the past couple of years I've learned that if I just go with my instinct and make thoughtful decision that I'm satisfied with, then others will follow.

If you are unsure of yourself, then others will be unsure of you also. Be confident with the things you say, and decisions you make! No matter how little you speak, or how little of decisions you make :)

I hate making decisions, too. If a mate asks where I want to eat, I'll have some favourite places, but I just say "I don't care" because, well, I really don't. Eat wherever. There's going to be at least one thing on the menu I could stomach.

Ugh, that's so maddening! My mom does something similar... she'll have something in mind that she wants, but she'll ask us what we want to do. Then she'll go along with our decision, but she will literally pout about it! And then, once it's all said and done and waaaayyy too late, she'll start playing the martyr.

Just one of many reasons I moved 10 hours from home...

I am always the first asked too, even though I'm the less picky eater in my family. There are literally like 3 things that I know of I won't eat and one of them is because I'm allergic.

I imagine it's because we are the least likely to speak up. The family doesn't want to overlook us or take us somewhere we don't want to eat/be. Which is kind of funny, because a lot of people seem to hate picking BECAUSE they don't want to pick somewhere someone else won't like to eat/be. They are trying to be nice, but it's really annoying.
