Palmar Hyperhydrosis

I know there are many posts about this, but I just want to get the facts straight.

I use CertainDri but it doesn't really seem to help that much, especially when I think about my hands. Everytime I think about my hands, they start sweating and I can't stop. When I'm not paying attention to them, they're usually mostly dry.

I was wondering if you guys would recommend Drysol or Odaban? And if anyone knows exactly how much they cost to get from a doctor, etc.

Another question is, which doctor do you see? Do you just go to your regular doctor or some kind of specialist?

Last question is: Has anyone tried this method, particularly the one shown in this video? YouTube - ‪Cure Sweaty Hands, Palms, Hyperhidrosis, Hyperhydrosis‬‏. I've been reading tons of comments, etc and everyone says it does make their hands dry.

My most important question though is, does it help keep your hands dry even when you're thinking about them? That seems to be my worst problem.

Sorry for the long post, it's just this has been ruining my life, especially because I have a gf now and it's really difficult to hold her hand.

I tried Drysol and it didn't really help. It just puts a solution on your hands and then you don't want to touch anything.

I haven't tried the home made ionto device, but I would definitely give it a try. I actually purchased a commercial unit before trying to make one myself. Making your own would be a lot cheaper than buying one.

The iontophoresis has been the most effective solution I have tried yet.

I replied to you in the other thread but I'll reply here as well. Ionto does in fact work and just like you I have tried products similar to CertainDri. While it did help to some extent, it was just not good enough in situations where I needed it the most.

I also bought a commercial ionto device with a money back guarantee if it didn't work after watching that youtube-video. I was about to give Botox a try when I found out about ionto, and decided to give it a try.

Within 14 days I had very good results, and it has now lasted for 4 months with maintenance treatments.

Ionto can be a great solution depending upon climate, water source used, and what kind of mood your body is in. It sometimes works 100% for me, and sometimes only 75%. Overall it's a vast improvement over dripping hands and/or fingers. But why is it when it works great and the opportunity arises where I actually go on a date, the fingertips decide to act up. Go figure? I've been doing Ionto since June of 2005 and don't plan to stop to the day my heart stops beating, and even then I'll probably take my machine into the afterlife just to be sure.
