I thought I would update on my Ditropan experience. I am now on week 3, 3 x 5mg daily.
With my first dose of the day ( 1hr before eating ) I can feel as sensation of some dryness on hands and feet. Unfortunately any anxiety can quickly override this. The doses I take later have little effect. I don't know if this is due to the fact I eat quite regularly which might negate/lessen the effect.
Unfortunately I have experienced several side effects :
headaches, haziness and lethargy, dry eyes, trouble swallowing, shortness off breath*, tightness of chest*, heart palpitations, bloated feeling and feeling constipated.
* I may have picked up a chest infection over the weekend, explaining some symptoms ( others are definite Ditropan side effects ). I am bringing up phlegm which may also point to an infection. I am prone to cold/infections due to medicine taken for Rheumatoid Arthritis.
I am due to see my doctor Friday, so I will persist with Ditropan til then but I think it is most likely I will have to switch back to Pro-Banthine. Its the lesser of two evils. I would also like to try something other than Propranolol for combating the anxiety but we will see.
