Not having a good week

Well I'm not. Monday I felt really anxious at school but somehow managed to pull through the day. So I got high that night to try and relax a bit. Next day I was feeling pretty good cuz of the weed the night before and I told myself I was going to start one of 3 papers I have due in less than 2 weeks. Then this afternoon I put it off again to get high. Right now I'm feeling a little depressed and I know tomorrow I'm probably going to put it off again. But I ran out of weed so I can't be gettin stoned no more so that won't be a problem.

I'm just not feeling very good about anything and can't get my school work done. I've gotten extensions and still put them off. I hate doing it but I keep doing it to myself. Any advice? or anyone else relate?

i'm not having good months. suspected reasons:

seasonal affective disorder - it's dark and depressing all of the time so i sleep all of the time. i am in hybernation mode. it is always especially hard this time of year for me. the moment i wake up i feel a turn in my stomach because i am so depressed.

not liking what i do - i'm taking a class i HATE, working a job i am not good at, and living at home. i am working to change all of this shortly. as people say, life's too short to do something you don't like. eff this. i hope when i make the change that it brings some satisfaction and confidence into my life.

Go write your papers. You will feel 100 times better once you are done. Shut off all your distractions. Close your bedroom door and just write. It does not have to be good. Just write something so you can feel like you have started.

On that note I will say this I hated writing papers in school. But I do remember the feeling of relief once I got it done. Best of luck to you and take care.

Dude don't let the weed prevent you from getting your education and bettering yourself. I always toke after I have finished all my school work for the day as a kind of reward. You just have to motivate yourself to do your papers. Look at it this way, after you write this paper you are one step closer to graduating college and getting yourself out of this rut.

Good Luck MUTHA FUCKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Tab, trust me, it's the weed. I've been experiencing exactly the same thing as you, but me there is weed and also beer. I've managed to cut down on weed a bit, but increased on alcohol.

I've put back on alot of school work, been skipping class, dropping some classes and overall losing motivation...

I don't think my loss of motivation is entirely because of beer and weed, but it does play a major role. Depression and social anxiety really don't help either.

It's a vicious cycle, you smoke weed as a way to escape your social anxiety or depression, but it only makes things worse.

I once smoked so much weed (it was the second time) that I literally could not do my Japanese class homework... at all. And that class was pretty easy (intro class).

Yeah, if you do weed, do it afterward. It's a mind number, so smoking before a test, etc, is not recommended.

With the school work i think it helps to have scheduled breaks for example work 30min then have a 30min break or whatever you feel comfortable with. Its better to work for 2hrs total then stress out and get nothing done. Thats my 2c anyways :)
