Notice that in this post "Nice Guy(s)" is capitalized. That term refers to the known stereotype of a guy complaining online about his constant inability to get laid, due to being put onto the wrong "ladder" by gruesome women, who - in his eyes - are too dumb to see what grand a man he could be for them.
It appears to me that "Nice Guys" are - in addition to being dishonest and selfish - deceptive. They seem to expect women to pay with sex for their most unappealing subservience, while pretending pristine innocence, bashing the archetype "asshole" who "uses" women for his personal sexual gratification. Eventually they are deeply hurt, realizing that yet another lady put them onto the wrong "ladder", after "so much effort". In the end, younger ladies, with sufficient control over their emotions, seem far better off with the "assholes" than with "Nice Guys".
I am not saying that being nice is something bad, but "Nice Guys" don't deserve as much protection as you may think. There is more to their behaviour than niceness and honest love for women, free of bodily desires and filthy sexual thoughts. There's a reason doormats hit rock bottom quickly after having been bought cheaply.
Everyone is selfish, without exception - it is an integral characteristic of humans. We solely try to overcome it, yet again to just heighten our very own self-worth. The same is true for dishonesty - under normal circumstances, there just is no need for it; that is why we are more or less honest. Cheating on a romantic partner within the context of a monogamous, exclusive relationship is a disastrous combination of selfishness and dishonesty, and no human alive is truly safe from disadvantageous situations. With only a handful of preconditions met, I cannot imagine anyone to have the strength, or the actual sustainable will, to desist.Let's say cheating on women, being dishonest and selfish etc.
