I don't think you should just do something because there's an opportunity to do it. The therapy thing seems to be where the demand and your heart is... if you're enjoying what you're doing, then it's easier to be good at it.

You caught me. Immediate satisfaction is definitely the main reason I'm going for an art degree. Physical therapy is a 6-7 year endeavor. I know it's not the best way of looking at it, but I just turned 28; I'm not really sure if I want to spend another 6 years in school.

PT is most definitely a guaranteed higher starting salary. Since the next enrollment deadline for the university is still a bit a ways, perhaps I can take the PT prereqs at a city college just to keep the option open.

I've never heard of art therapy. I'll look into that!

^It isn't every day where someone is actually interested in doing something for which there is a huge demand.

34 isn't exactly the end of your life and if you keep putting it off it's just going to slip away completely.
