If you live in the UK, I'm sure you've heard of the British National Party (BNP).

They're right wing fascists who stand for anti-immigration and "british jobs for british workers", as well as "freedom" from the EU and a reintroduction of Capital Punishment in the UK.
****ing Nazis basically.

Well... i've always thought they were an absolute load of twats... but recently they've been going too far. They've put up their nazi propaganda posters on billboards all over my town. People have thrown paint over them, and spray painted "nazi scum" underneath them. But i'm concerned that people in my town are voting for them. Im all for freedom of opinion... but my town is quite backwater. A lot of people up here are racist and homophobic - hatred for gays and foreigners - two of the many kinds of people that the BNP stand to eliminate. Im concerned that the BNP are going to become a popular vote around my area.

The whole "****ing foriegners taking our jobs" thing is also bullshit. They do the jobs that we're either too lazy, not qualified enough or too ****ing self conscious to do. They do the jobs we think are beneath us... and people have the sheer ignorance to say that our jobs are being stolen by foreigners? That's ****ing ridiculous!

I admit - it would be nice if foreign people didnt feel the need to come over to Britian - it would be nice if they werent persecuted in their own countries, but for christ sake everyone has a right to live.

but yeah.. BNP = nazis. Don't vote for them

You americans have Neo Nazis and racist skinheads. Well imagine if they were a legitimate political party that you could actually vote into power. Thats the shit that england would face if 70% of the country wasnt at least slightly liberal.

if the BNP get in then it's curtains for the economy. thats all i'm going to say.

I just had a long discussion with my cousin who has converted to neo-nazism it seems. Tried sending me Mein Kampf over MSN, told me homosexuals should be shot, and that we had to butcher the muslims. After trying to counter him with solid arguments I gave up and flooded him with links to gayporn.

Good times.

I think that's eastern europe, racism is more common at football matches there, there are a few who chant black players in the UK, the police have arrested anyone they catch doing this on CCTV, Racism is a criminal offence in the UK

As much fun as it is to blame the states for everything that's wrong, it's honestly just as bad over here. Right now it's mostly a rampant anti-Islam attitude they use as a cover though.

the worst theory they have is that:

"jews with breed white people out of existance and therefore should be shot"

Fundamentally there are 3 things wrong with this.

1. most american jews are white. even the ones who originated from russia are mostly white.
2. two white jews cannot have a black baby under most circumstances
3. being jewish isnt a genetic thing! you arent born a jew you are brought up a jew! It's just a choice of religion not a birth defect ffs!

Think it's the muslims/arabs they blame when it comes to the breeding thing, at least that's what he did.

I have this amazingly fun project now though. He was determined I'm gay because I've never had a girlfriend (SA, duh), as opposed to the overwhelming number of boyfriends I've had (none, but 0 is larger than 0 y'know). So I told him he was right, and that I was gay, and it took no persuasion at all since he had already decided he was right about me. Let's just say I'm gonna have a lot of fun while creeping him out for a few days before I gloat.

What really pisses me off is the way he, and others who shares his ideology, don't seem to oppose their "enemy" because of their opinions and actions. But rather because they themselves want to be sure that they are the ones calling the shots when there's asshattery to be done. He'll wail about how horrible it is that f.ex women in islamic countries lack rights. Yet when asked about f.ex gays or jews he'll support this very sort of treatment (or worse) for them.

I dont know what makes people have those kind of feelings,sure there are some bad apples everywhere,but there are some great ones too,thats just how we humans are,it is a great experience to know people from different backgrounds.

For years now I've been wishing one of those hate groups would hold a rally nearby. Not that unfounded hatred of others is cool. I think it might be fun to watch those idiots spew their crap while angry crowds attempt to change them by shouting even louder. And all the while the cops half-heartedly keep them from each other....

But they never seem to come anywhere near here. They sure are tough among their own kind, but I guess they're afraid of all those "untermenschen" once they can have firearms. :rolleyes:

And reading too many books on WWII has taught me many German words that I seldom get to use. Thanks for giving me a reason to use one. And because of the title of this thread I now have a strange image of Churchill with a Charlie Chaplin moustache stuck in my mind. Thanks a lot. ;)

I hate the BNP with a passion. I even voted in the EU elections to counter any BNP vote. Funny thing was my mother voted BNP because of the expense scandal. I pointed out that the BNP are far from perfect and free from scandal.
The BNP should not, be branded NAZI’s. It will only start to fuel the public, who are now suffering in an economic crisis. Most vote BNP because it sounds tough and intimidating; like an English bulldog. If it gets any worse, then I can see the British public becoming extreme. I have heard remarks from people I have worked with, talk about Hitler as if he was the second coming.
