that most women ARE attracted to assholes. I'm unsure whether she told me that if it's just when they're young (as if that isn't enough) or that most women are attracted to them but it doesn't mean they like it, or they just don't know what they want, are ignorant, and end up falling for assholes, time and time again because they just "can't do anything about it, it's just the way life is".

She is like what, around 40-45 yrs old?

Anyway. She's a mom. She says this because she has done it before, and has seen most women the same way. I don't even know anything else about her either. It is just one woman.

But I guess a lot of women when asked this question like to play it down, and act as if they dont when on the inside they know it's true, but feel bad about it because they can't do anything about it.

My guess is women are selfish, and when they say they want a "strong man" and are all too selective, they end up going for the assholes, unknowingly, and before it's too late they are in an abusive relationship. And some women like it! I swear sometimes I think women are masochists and sadists. They reject all the good guys.

They say they want "a little bit of an asshole". Even a little bit of an asshole is still an asshole.

I have no faith in women anymore.

True.. they are shallow. But what can I do? the majority of men are shallow assholes as well. The majority of people seem to be assholes, and they even feel justified and come up with 'reasoning".

As for the argument that "women have always been that way, since the ancient days".. women are programmed nowadays, and they always have been even in our past. It may seem "instinctual" but really it's all just programming. We can change this programming. We were programmed whether it's conscious to you or not. We have always been programmed since the ancient days. Hardly anyone even knows our true past, and our true nature, the present.

My sister married a rectum, sphincter, anus whatever adjective you want to use to describe him. The problem with my sister is that she is blind to him and all his faults. She was in a abusive relationship once before, where her bf kicked her and got her into allot of trouble. The jerk she is with now, donated sperm to make two kids with my sister, which only makes that relationship even worse. He is narcissistic and has a massive KISS collection, mainly junk and has it displayed all over her house from ceiling to floor. He admits that this collection is worth over $15,000. everything from matchbox cars to dolls of the entire band, yes DOLLS!!! And yet my sister is blind to it all. They can't afford the mortgage payment, and yet he still has enough money to keep buying KISS junk. He puts himself first, and has an ego the size of Texas. They say: "Love is blind"... Just amazes me to no end what she see's in him.

You could always try being a shallow asshole but be warned, you'll attract the sort of woman who is attracted to shallow assholes. Rather be yourself and be patient.

It isn't how he looks, but what he represents... He is "The Forty Year Old Virgin", and so am I.... That is why it is fitting... Plus the movie was funny. So it's all good!:D

If I looked like Steve Carell, I would have a better chance finding "the one".

Well I wouldn't say women "like" jerks. I mean those guys often appear to be nice guys anyways until they get whatever is is that they wanted from you. Besides that would be like them saying that all men love whores or all men are dogs which I myself find frustrating.

Stop stereo typing women... you've been warned about this before no1. Just because one woman has told you something doesn't mean it's true for every single one of them on the planet.And yes some girls end up with idiots...and some guys end up with girls who are idiots.

But there are also lots of exceptions to this rule,there a lot of healthy relationships out there as well.I mean when you say they reject all good guys...is this from personal experience?From what the media is telling you?Or what?Because the outlook you have on women doesn't sound healthy to me,and its also very black and white and unrealistic.like you say sorry if this sounds harsh...but you "guess"... women are this or that,but this is really all just your personal opinion.And not a very fair one at that.

i think by asshole they mean not concerned about feelings, so less likely to get attached.

my first relationship happened because the girl thought i was an asshole. i wasn't, i was just going through cbt, and more concerned about maintaining my own mental well-being than being aware of someone else's feelings.

then i fell in love with a suicidal heroin addict (yeah, i was an idiot), and she wouldn't sleep with me because she was only attracted to assholes (so she said), and i was apparently too nice. i didn't have the support system that i did previously, i'd moved far away from everyone, so i was more in this clingy emotional mode which probably turned her off. i've experienced that from the other side, so i know how annoying it can be.

but then there was a girl who liked me because i was so nice, so it's true, you can't generalize.
