My first semester at community college we had to write an essay in my English class. My topic was about social norms and rituals that will disappear in the future. Mostly I wrote about how religion will disappear as the world evolves. Anyway the teacher liked it a lot. I live in the Bible Belt so the class was filled with super Christians. I was probably the only non-religious person in the class.
The teacher chose to read the essay to the class because he tried his hardest to "convert" the religious ones.
I had no idea he was going to read it. When I heard my title being read, my heart kicked into overdrive, I turned red, and started sweating. I was dying throughout the entire thing. I knew everyone could tell it was my essay. No one said anything to me about it and the teacher never said that it was mine.
A few weeks later I was waiting out in the hallway for the teacher to get there, and one of the other students was talking about how hard the class was. She mentioned the essay I wrote and basically said how she could never had written something like that. She said to the other student, "who wrote that anyway?" I knew I had to say something, so I turned to her and said, "I wrote it".
That was probably the only thing that any of the other students heard me say all semester, and you should have seen the look of astonishment on her face.
I don't know why I posted this, just bored I guess.
Sorry....
