Is your humor undetectable?

i'm a very serious person and even when i am joking i still come across as dead serious. it's not that i come off in that pretentious deadpan humor way but people can't tell i'm joking at all. they think i am just being my normal serious self and just making bizarre statements. does this happen a lot to you, too?

I'm serious person too.
It is not that they don't expect that I'm joking, it is more than I'm
not capable to tell one.

My voice isn't relaxed and it has always the same pitch.

Do you laugh about their jokes ?

I would say that yeah I am a serious person but with a soul of a clown so when I do do something spontaneous it seems out of the blue for most people. But really it's always there. I guess if your not a fool 24/7 people can take you out of context.

I'm serious, but I don't mind contributing to a humourous situation. However my two cents are usually just a few smart or sarcastic words.

this doesnt happen to me.If i am in a good mood i can be funny. The difficult part is actually getting in that mood which is very very rare

I dislike fun and prefer not to laugh. I look even more stupid when I am in a good mood, hence I prefer to stay serious and at least semi-professional, distanced all the time.

Sometimes I can fit in and make people laugh, at other times though, I seem to have quite a dark sense of humour which bypasses others and usually just leaves me laughing by myself, looking like i'm insaine. ::p:

Some people don't notice my humor, others do, it can be subtle like that. Most of the time I'm just trying to amuse myself though, and don't expect anyone else to get it.

yeah, you can really get in trouble especially when you have a morbid sense of humor. I normally tell stories that are hilarious to me but make other people feel awkward.

lol I have an odd sense of humor that makes me laugh while other people just look at me weird.....But whatever as long as I can make myself laugh!!!

I think I'm really good on putting up a positive and humorous personality. Most people think I'd a laid back, funny, down to earth guy. But deep down inside, it could be no farther from the truth. I guess you can say my humor is very detectable, even though its pretty much an act. I put up a nice front so no one can know how I really feel deep down inside.

Sometimes people don't get my humour..At times i don't have any humour. I often have a hard time laughing at stuff and finding things funny too.

Ive been told my sense of humour tends to be 'dry'. Took me ages to understand what that meant, but apparently it means its often difficult to understand and often goes un-noticed.

several years ago when I was depressed with Avoidant personality disorder I shut down my emotions to avoid the emotional trauma but I lost the ability to laugh and really have a sense of humour about much of anything. I'm still a fairly serious person but a love of humourous pop-culture escapism I've found my way back to having a good sense of humour again... reading manga comics of the 'ecchi harem romantic comedy' variety, watching shows on TV such as Futurama, Robot Chicken, South Park, Family Guy, etc. have given me the distractions and freedom and encouragement enough to laugh out loud a great deal of the time now...
