I think I will do an experiment. I've been going daily on the internet for the past 5/6 years now, and incidentally that's also the time in which I became a parttime reclusive.

I don't think internet is the reason for my SA or AVP, but I do think I have a mental addiction and dependency to it. Let's say a lot of my mental energy is drained into it. Internet can be a great handy tool, but I do think because there's interaction with people in a non-verbal way, it's tiring my mind and leaves little energy and will for me to go out and experience "real life" and real people. I have become enslaved to it in a way.

I want to go 2 weeks without internet, only use it for a limited time of 1 hour in the evening, and for the rest use my laptop purely for work. I think if I get bored enough, there's probably more will-power for me to go venture out into the world, meet people and be productive and creative. Kinda like I was when I was a kid, before the days of the internet. I will post my experiences here.

I hope I can gather enough will-power to get through, otherwise I will have to destroy my internet cable and buy a new one after the period is over.

I have similar things with the Internet, too.

Good luck with your expedition, mate! I think you'll be bored for maybe 2 or 3 days, but you'll eventually find other ways to plug the holes.

I spend about two hours a day online.

According to the social people it is too much, but as far as I am concerned it is my social life, so they can go and (insert expletive here ) themselves.

On the other hand if some woman wants those two hours she is welcome.
