Idk what to do with this girl I like

I finally mustered up the courage to ask her what her name was on Friday. Apparently she knew my name and that really annoyed me because I didn't know hers.
So I asked her during a passing period (This is in highschool) and she responded with "Why?" as she kept walking. I responded with "Well, why not?", she said "Why" again but she was still walking and didn't stop and there was a crowd that I would've had to push through, so I left it.
I skipped the period I had her in because I felt embarrassed. I'm still interested in her but idk what I'm gonna do on Monday when I see her again.
Any advice?

Maybe she was in a hurry at the time, try to talk to her at a time when you dont have to head to another class, try to catch up with her before lunch or if possible at breakfast.
Im not one to really give great advice, but I hope this helps a little

Take that as a sign that you can call her anything that you want. Maybe something like blondy or blue eyes etc. You want to start calling her that enough times that she starts getting annoyed and then volunteers to give you her real name.
