Alright... so my boyfriend and I talk everyday. If either of us doesn't have plans he asks me to hangout with him. I love hanging out with him but I need time alone. Today i made up plans so he wouldn't ask to hangout and he realized i didn't actually do it but just stayed home and now he's very disappointed at me :( :kickingmyself:

Hi,

I have this friend who was very close to me...not so much anymore. He doesn't understand Anxiety....and sometimes gives his judgmental opinion as i get tired too easily compared to others. So i told him to keep his judgmental attitude to himself and mind his own goddam business. He is very careful now...cos he knows when he opens his mouth, i am not taking it lying down.

He invited me for his marriage yesterday...and i was like really tired from work and anxious. So i didn't go the 250 km journey and then meeting friends etc...so he calls up and starts bantering with a disrespectful voice....so i reply in a high pitch, plz don't insult people without knowing the reason for their absence and also told him i am sorry. If this friend of mine resorts to his usual arrogant ,' i don't care what you have' i am going to say good bye to him.

Is there a better way to deal with this situation? I am not sure...i was polite and was truthful. And i don't feel guilty...some people can make you guilty....i think we better be careful with such attitudes.

I went to one of my friends wedding. He is like family. It was a social anxiety nightmare but I'm glad I went....it's a shame your friend doesn't understand your issues. You were honest with him, that's all you can really do.
