I feel like I scare everyone away

I'm not sure if this pertains to social anxiety or anything, but I feel like I scare people away. Either strangers, or people who used to be my friend.
Maybe it's because I'm lonely or awkward or anxious, but I try my best to keep up a good charisma. Even though that's never exactly worked |:

Yeeeeeeees! Definitely!

People don't like people like me.... boring, weird, someone who doesn't talk and is always sad... I understand them, though. I'm tired of myself and I feel like everyone is too >.<

I've been told it's not as bad as I think, but I can't help it, facts speak for themselves.

I believe that others can sense our akwardness/fear and this repels them. Many people intuitively know that we feel uneasy, so they pick up on this and it makes them feel weird too.
^ This.

I can relate. I sometimes feel like I scare people off too. I also try to have some good charisma, but usually I'm too nervous and stiff to keep it up for long.

I know this feeling. When I'm hanging out with friends I notice it's always weird unless we get super drunk. I usually blame it on me because I feel so weird and awkward and they sense it so they get weird and the awkward silences are so painful lol. I need to be comfortable being me.

People like me specifically because I'm awkward and weird.
They like to watch me; like an animal at the zoo.

The problem is that I'll only ever be a fascinating zoo animal and never a regular person whom others relate to and want to be around because of it.
That's how I feel.

Also- I'm too terrified of people to be around them even if I wanted to right now.
So, either... I scare away everyone else or I scare myself away from them.
Either way it's lose-lose.

Like pretty much all the responses say, I sometimes feel this way, too. People seem to be intimidated by me.

I'm pretty sure I make some people at school uncomfortable. I cant really keep a conversation going well and things turn awkward quick. Then they start to avoid me. Some are very outgoing and they're the only ones that dont seem bothered by me. I wish everyone was like that.

This is something I can definitely relate to as well. I think that being overly anxious/nervous makes other people feel that way too, and who wants to feel like that? Not us! The friends that I have all have their own anxieties and that is why we are OK being friends. My boyfriend is just SO super laid back that my anxiety doesn't bother him. And that's saying something!

I have found lately that exercising is a great way to get rid of some extra energy. This is calming me down a little.

In my case it's like other people don't know how to take me. Older people think I'm shy/a little odd, while younger people see me as strange/faulty.

The younger generations will always be discontent and rude if their expectations are not met.
