Well don't I feel like a D.A. (dumb a$$)
My SIL's grandma had a stroke so she planned on going to S.F. for a few days.
My brother got subpoenaed to appear in court but court date got pushed back. Technically HE CAN go however, he refuses to go cuz he (putting it mildly) does like her parents. So we're going to tell SIL's family that he had to appear in court but then at last minute got cancelled. .. meh, it's pretty much the truth.
Since it is a 9-10 hour drive and she will have both kids (3 yr old and 1 month old) plus she has to stop every 3-4 hours to pump, it's not going to be a *fun road trip*
So She looks at me and says, "hey, you wanna go with me?"
For a split second I was trying to figure out how to get out of it. Then I thought, surely she is kidding.
Instead, my D.A. mouth-with-a-fake-smile says SURE!
Really, did that come outta my mouth? I must have been an awful person in a past life
Darn, just fit me for a straight jacket now! seriously, I have gotta be the world's poster child for *D.A. idiot*
Well, I am fretting about it cuz:
1. it's gonna be a LONG trip - with little, loud, stinky kids
2. there's going to be a LOT of people around
3. We will be doing that *sitting around house staring at the tv trying to make odd convo with intermittent awkward silence - OH HOW I HATE THAT.
4. oh god, I forgot til i was writing this, SIL will put on talk radio - no music. crap. Well, I will remedy that with ear buds and MY music. whew!
Good side: I went to my doctor and got some meds so I'll just fill up on my anti-anxiety meds to cope.
I'll just Blankly stare where no person has stared before
Ok, it may not be too bad with my meds but I feel it's a shame I had to essentially run to my doctor cuz of this.
