I'm 28 years old.
It is a little daunting being older with social anxiety than the apparent majority here.
But on the bright side, I have a friend who told me that he has sufferred with anxiety problems for 20 years. He is now about 52.
I told him that of all the people I have encountered he is the most amazing. He's so intelligent when it comes to helping people with their problems and mature and compassionate.
And apparently I'm not the only person that thinks so.
So maybe how long you've suffered with a problem makes no difference if you can end up being as great as this person is.
If I had the choice to be an ordinary person and not have much anxiety, or to deal with anxiety for a long time but end-up being like him -What would I choose? ....I wouldn't want the choice. to my mind they seem about equal. ....of course it would be great to get over anxiety quickly and be as cool as this guy is at the same time. But then again I'm not a saint, so maybe that isn't a possibility.
