How important is SPW in your life?

Because I don't "get out much" I had not the faintest idea of how common social anxiety actually is!
No idea at all.
I ended up in here one day, and it was such a relief to talk with other people who know exactly what you are going through, because people without SA never seem to be able to grasp what it feels like or how much it affects our daily lives.

Yea I'm not a big fan of the chat thing either. I do enjoy reading/posting replying to posts though

yeh 'cause you're basically talking to people who r not worth talking to a lot of the time

And you get called things like 'dork?' if you don't respond to them, cause you're away from the computer. Typically i don't like complete strangers striking up a conversation with me, just because they're bored & want someone to entertain them.

A two day work off-site with staff who don't even believe I have anxiety.

that's good in a way, that means you can still at least get along in society (even with your anxiety) or am i wrong?

Well being on this forum allows me to at my worst of times have a place of some support, a place where I can digest my thoughts and feelings and gain some sort of retrospect.

At my best, I can support others in some small way in ways they have perhaps done the same.

Its important to see that your not alone in your seclusions in life and coming on here helps to see that. It kind of unlocks the door to what others think and feel other than just yourself and can give you that support of a sort of backbone when you dont have one.
