Hi I'm abby from the Philippines. I'm 18 and I was diagnosed of having social phobia last year. Ever since, I was terribly shy and when I felt like I couldn't take it anymore I asked my mom if we could consult a psychiatrist and she agreed and so I was diagnosed. I hope I can find friends here because I stopped going to school and I feel so very isolated. I've spent 2 years here in our house doing nothing when instead I should be in school. I hope someone here could be my friend because that's the only thing I've always wished for all my life.

welcome! Im from the Philippines moved to the states when i was 2 though...You're going to make a lot of friends here and get to know people struggling with similar issues. This is a great site.
