If meds are all it takes, then I doubt you had social anxiety in the first place.
I think he meant to say that social anxiety also consists of behavioral aspects that must be overcome as well. So there's not a special pill that makes
everything go away all at once. Maybe DillJenkins didn't mention his (ongoing?) struggle to change his ways of thinking, behaving, etc. Or maybe he caught his social anxiety early and was able to deal with it before it completely ruined his life, like it does to so many others.
Also, I know that many of us are socially retarded. We sometimes say the wrong thing, say the right thing the wrong way, or say something totally unrelated. We don't mean to, but sometimes it just happens. So I tend to give posts on this site a bit more leeway than I'd normally give people in the real world.
I can also see how it might be a little off-putting to say "Hey guys, I took some pills and I'm all better now. See ya!" on a forum for people struggling with social anxiety on a daily basis. It's almost like telling an atheist surgeon how Jesus cured your cancer all by Himself. So maybe Felgen didn't pick the best words to use. Maybe he was in a bad mood. Or maybe he really
was just trying to be a jerk. I don't know.
I think the important thing is that someone here was able to overcome his problems and is now feeling much better. So I'm gonna focus on the positive!
