Help me get a meaning for my life

I'm not sure what's with me but nothing excites me anymore...not even the thought of sleeping with a beautiful woman, becoming rich or even getting my bachelor's degree what's more distressing is that I don't know why:: I used to be a dreamer but now all I want is to hide my ugly face from the world and sleep all day ::

Depression. It sucks big time. I'm not the best for advice on the subject but I hear medication is the best way to get rid of it. Either that or just wait it out.

I agree with depression. Social phobics want a lot of stuff, but they can't. Sleeping all day if I remember good is one of the symptoms. And it could mean that now you have both: SA and depression.

You apparently admit having a condition you can't fully identify and categorize. That means, you don't know enough about it, or can't analyse yourself, implying you should go to a professional. Depending on your country, it might even be free. I guess the most meaningful aspect of your condition - whatever it may be - is that it significantly lowers the quality of your life, and hence must be addressed quickly and professionally. Quickly, because the decreasing quality of your life increases the severity of your condition, which causes a positive feedback. If you don't do something about it, getting out of it will become harder and harder.

Indeed, it's not a constant state of sorrow, it's can feel more like apathy and a lack of emotion entirely. To me it's often periods where I'm desperately trying to find something to do that can fill the void, just to discover that things I know I enjoy fail to have a positive effect on me. Treatment is the only option in the long term, but if for just getting through it I suggest doing things that can at least pass time a bit faster than staring at the walls. Everything still sucks, but it helps to at least occupy the mind with something while waiting for "better weather", so to speak.
