Hello there! :)

Hello everyone, I'm Remus (not my real name but quite a few people know me by that name), I'm a twenty year old student, currently nearing the end to my HND in Animal Managment. I joined on the forums back when I was a fifteen but I didn't stick with, my life then was to put simply, a living hell. Things have improved since then, still I have a lot of issues and troubles but nothing compared to that very dark chapter of my life.

I have rejoined the forums because in recent times, I feel like I am getting even worse with people. I've always been quite shy and introverted by nature and I find a lot of social situations terrifying and very uncomfortable although I haven't been diagnosed with anything. People always said to me you will grow out of it and it will get better with age but now at the age of twenty when I am the age where I now have to think about the future and my career and getting a job, I am seriously worried about my lack of social skills and communication. I fear crowds, doing stuff on my own and public transport. So yeah, I'm looking forward to posting on the forums and getting to know people.

Also, in addition to this, I also have an acquired form of mild dyspraxia and I am a moderator for a forum for dyspraxics teenagers, offering support and advice and it is a community I have grown to love and care for its members.

I very much look forward to posting and reading! :)

Hey and welcome to the forum:D! I hope that you enjoy it here as well and here's to finishing your HND! As for "growing out of it", well, as long as you're fighting this and believing that you'll escape then, yes, all it takes is time:). Just don't give up; you'll make it.

Thanks for the welcome as well as the encouragement! :D Well, compared to where I have been, I have definitely made some progress and any progress is good in my book. :)

Hi, welcome to SPW. Well, what I've found that you can only 'grow out of it' if you make an effort to. I'm glad you've made some progress, I hope you make more. :)
