Dancing, eh?
Doesn't your 'man' know you 'can't dance' or aren't confident in your ability to?
Just tell him.
It really shouldn't be a big deal.
ALOT of people can't dance.
The point is to have fun, afterall.
Dance however you want to dance or don't dance at all.

(I don't dance haha)

I know it's awkward dancing for me too. I usually just go with the music, stay away from the creepy grinding guys. Do not get drunk unless you want to embarrass yourself dancing. It's never helpful. Just tell the guy, I'm sure he can help you too.

drinking only helps if you actually know how to dance somewhat and just need the guts to do it. i've always wanted to learn to dance really cool and stuff but i've tried and i find it extremely hard...

Uhg, dancing, do not understand.

Like others suggested here. Tell your man your troubles. He should understand.

You don't gotta do what you don't wanna do.

Grinding guys, I think I know what you mean. They just jump right in and .... ufff whatever....

most people don't know how to dance

that does not stop them from demonstrating that fact whenever they have the chance

the point is not to dance well, but just to get out there and have fun

there aren't judges sitting on the sidelines holding up score cards or anything

usually

What if it ain't no fun?
What if music doesn't move one physically?
What if one is tied tight with anxiety (this may be a huge contributing factor)?

I don't know how to dance either. It used to bug me a lot more when I was younger than it does now. Maybe 'cause now I don't get invited to any parties and don't try to go to clubs anymore.

I totally get what you mean when you say if you can learn how to dance right now. I was the same way the night before a party. Wanting to learn. All these girls at these things would have years of practice from going to parties as little girls and watching people dance, and when I would get up there, it just wouldn't happen. I was so stiff (and full of anxiety of course).

People teach themselves how to crochet and do makeup from youtube videos so it may be possible to learn to dance watching videos as well. I am going to add dancing to my list of things I wanna learn how to do; I had forgotten about that one! It just looks like so much fun, and I always feel like I am missing out just sitting there staring and drinking.
