Does anyone else's parents do this?

My Mom had me for a scare a couple of seconds ago. I heard her shouting Help me over and over and she was running downstairs frantically holding her chest. She just screamed help me over and over. I could hear her gasping for air and I think I heard maybe cry a little, like whimper. My dad had to calm her down and she seemed to have settled after a while. This isn't the first time she had done this. I'm starting to get worried about her. This has happened quite a lot and it scares me. I don't know if it's because she is suffering from depression or her menopause symptom. Does anyone know what it is? Have you had a mom who had done something similar in my mother's situation?

my mother used to do that kind of thing a lot. When I got older I realized she was just seeking for attention. I would say it's probably the reason why I won't scream, ever, even if you cut my hand off.

But maybe yours really has heart problems? Or panic attacks?
