Does anyone else have Dysthymia

I was diagnosed with this years ago, I am just wondering if anyone else has it, or what its like for them... for anyone who doesnt know its kind of like depression except it is not as severe and it lasts longer (years usually). You are still able to function, get out of bed, go to work etc.. but you feel an emptiness and unhappiness just naaaaaags away at you, eventually thinking that its just part of who you are..

Can anyone relate? If so please share your experiences.. thanks!

Yeah this is what I was diagnosed with about two years ago. In fact this is the main reason I was seeing a doctor to begin with, I didn't find out about the social anxiety until I got there. But yeah I was able to hold a military career for years but it ate away at me until I hit a point where I started acting out and thats when I saw a doctor. To be honest, it's been a long time since I've been really happy, I usually just have happy moments but thats about it. But happy with life? No. I've gotten really good at faking smiles.

A doctor 'diagnosed' me with this about four years ago. Though it progressed from that to clinical depression within that time span.
